Overview

This program is only available to Classical Studies majors. This program is open to Classical Studies majors who want to experience what they are learning first hand. Students study through Duke University's Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies (ICCS) in Rome. If you are considering this program please meet with your Classical Studies advisor to discuss the program.  Applicants must be recommended by the Classical Studies department. Minimum GPA required by host program: 2.7 GPA, but priority is given to those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

Academics

Find ICCS classes here: (Classes are called "Courses) 

While at the ICCS students will take a minimum of four classes, including one course in Latin or Greek. All classes are taught in English.

Housing

Students will live in dormitory style rooms with other ICCS students at the Center.

Dates

The Rome program is available during both the fall and spring semesters. Fall semester starts early September and ends mid December; spring semester starts late January and concludes at the end of May.
