Shelaswau Bushnell Crier joined the Willamette law faculty as an assistant professor in the fall of 2009. She teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Education Law.
Crier graduated cum laude from Rice University and earned her law degree from Yale University, where she served as editor of the Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law and Ethics and the Yale Journal on Regulation. Prior to joining Willamette, Crier served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Ivan Lemelle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and taught at Loyola University College of Law.
