Willamette's involved faculty, small classes noted in Fiske college guide
Noted for its personal atmosphere and quality of life, Willamette’s College of Liberal Arts is included in the latest edition of Fiske Guide to Colleges.
The Fiske Guide examined more than 300 of the “best and most interesting” colleges and universities in the United States, Canada and Great Britain. It described Willamette’s small classes and students’ close relationships with faculty, and it gave Willamette professors “high marks for being amazing, engaging and supportive.”
The guide also praised Willamette’s ample research opportunities, West Coast culture and active campus life.
“There are few other schools where I would have the support, attention and opportunities to enjoy my two majors, study abroad for a semester, intern for a legislator, work on campus, volunteer in the community, participate in the Greek system, and graduate in four years with 300 equally involved and committed students,” one student said.
