Willamette University's Atkinson Graduate School of Management has been recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the top business schools in the nation. Forbes unveiled their bi-annual list of the "Best Business Schools" earlier today. Willamette University MBA ranked 60 and was the only Oregon school included in the list. The University of Washington's Foster School of Business is the only other business school from the Northwest represented in the list.

Forbes ranks schools based on the return on investment experienced by graduates from the class of 2010. Over 17,000 graduates and 95 schools were surveyed for the ranking. Forbes calculates return on investment based on pre- and post-MBA salaries compared to the cost of tuition. Willamette is one of just 20 ranked schools located west of the Mississippi River. Willamette MBA has previously appeared on Forbes’ “Best Business Schools” lists in 2009 and 2011.

“Our Forbes ranking reinforces the quality and value a Willamette MBA delivers to our graduates,” explains Debra Ringold, Dean and JELD-WEN Professor of Free Enterprise. "We continue to fight above our weight. This ranking is a testament to the hard work of the entire Willamette MBA community--students, alumni, faculty, staff, employers, and friends--of which we should be duly proud."

The complete list of schools along with methodology appears on Forbes’ website.
