Judge Frederick Walker Gannett earned his juris doctorate from Willamette University in 1987.
Almost immediately after law school, he was appointed as the Eagle County Court Judge in Colorado. He stepped down after six years to gain experience in private practice.
While in private practice, Gannett also served as a municipal judge for the town of Basalt, Colo., and as an assistant municipal judge in Vail.
Gannett was re-appointed Eagle County Court Judge in September 2002 by Colorado Gov. Bill Owens.
