Tyler Reich '06 has been named Willamette's new associate vice president for university relations. He will join the advancement team on July 1.
Previously at Occidental College, Reich led the Alumni & Parent Engagement Team, comprising the Alumni and Parent Relations Team, the Annual Fund Team and the Stewardship Team. Together, the group worked to dramatically increase meaningful engagement across all constituent groups and grow Occidental's annual fund revenue by above 60%.
"Tyler and I worked closely together for three of my four years at Occidental, and I am thrilled to bring him back to his alma mater to be part of this exciting time at the university," said Shelby Radcliffe, vice president for advancement.
Reich will serve as part of the Advancement Leadership Team and will manage a reorganized unit called "University Relations." University Relations will bring the Annual Giving team and the Alumni & Parent Engagement team together in order to synchronize Willamette's important relationship building and fundraising work with its 28,000 living alumni and more than 5,000 active parents.
Reich reports that he is very excited to return to his alma mater and looks forward to sitting by the Mill Steam on a sunny day to watch the ducks. He returns to Salem with his wife, Katie '06/MBA'12, and their nine month old daughter, Harper (Class of 2037).
