Biography
Nancy Garcia, (she/her/ella) is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leader at Amazon Web Services where she leads AWS’s global learning and development programs. Prior to joining AWS, Nancy held roles in DEI with the MLS Portland Timbers and Edelman Public Relations Worldwide where she managed strategic community engagements programs, ID&E learning and development strategy and created early career internship opportunities for marginalized students.
Nancy is a first generation Latina with a Masters in Business Administration. Her parents immigrated to the United States from El Salvador and Mexico and was raised in Oregon. During her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, planning her next biking vacation and baking with her 2-year-old daughter Elena Rey.
