WU Alumni Connection - March 2017

Willamette Alumni,

You are an important part of Willamette’s history, its present and future. In the year ahead, we will continue to celebrate and examine the last 175 years. We will also look toward a promising future.

In this 175th year, I hope you will increase your engagement with Willamette. Live our motto by volunteering during our WU175 Day of Service. Participate in a Willamette sponsored event in one of our alumni regions. Become a regional volunteer. Connect with current students and your fellow alumni through Switchboard. Encourage a promising high school student to consider Willamette by telling your story and what Willamette can do for them. Plan to attend Alumni Weekend 2017 and encourage your classmates to join you.  Like the Willamette Alumni Association on Facebook and receive timely Willamette updates.

There are many options for you to connect with Willamette and your classmates. This is your Willamette and it wouldn't be the same without your involvement. Please find this month’s WU Alumni Connection below.

Day of Service Join alumni from across the country and around the world for Willamette's first annual Day of Service by giving back to your local community in the spirit of our motto, "Not unto ourselves alone are we born."

We've organized several volunteer opportunities in the alumni chapters listed below, but even if your region isn't represented, we encourage you to join this incredible effort! Pitch in to clean a local park, volunteer at a nearby homeless shelter or use your green thumb to replant trees in your neighborhood. How you serve is up to you. Just make sure you share photos of your Day of Service experience using the hashtags #Willamette175 and #TeamWillamette on March 11, 2017, and we'll send you a free Team Willamette t-shirt!

By each giving just a few hours on March 11th, we can make a huge difference together!
