Individualized Health Professions Advising

There is no one-size-fits all path into careers in healthcare. If you are interested in becoming a physician, dentist, veterinarian, or public health professional, the most successful path to pursuing your goals is the one that reflects your unique interests and strengths. Our advisors are here to accompany and empower you as you seek out academic and co-curricular experiences that will allow you to explore your interests as well as build and demonstrate the academic and professional competencies sought by post-graduate programs in the health professions.

Students pursuing careers in the health professions benefit from the support of a team of faculty and career advisors who are dedicated to their success. Willamette’s Health Professions Advisory Committee consists of faculty advisors from Willamette’s Biology, Chemistry, Exercise and Health Science, Psychology, and Public Health departments as well as the FamilyCare Pre-Health Director, the dedicated career advisor for students pursuing careers in the health professions. Each of our faculty advisors brings their expertise to advise students pursuing specific careers in the health professions, with the FamilyCare Pre-Health Director acting as a central point of connection for students.
