The Pre-Health Program is comprised of two academic tracks based on a  student's interest in a specific medical profession. Both academic tracks afford students the same quality of resources, career opportunities and advising. However, each track can also attend to the specific educational needs for individual medical careers.

The Definition of a Pre-Health Student: "One in the process of emotional, intellectual and professional growth targeted for future advancement into any medical and/or healthcare-related field."

The Willamette University Pre-Health Program is committed to providing resources, offering career opportunities, academic advising, and career guidance to all students garnering an interest in the medical or healthcare field. Furthermore, our programs focuses not only upon academic success, but intensive reflections on personal experiences related to or within the field of medicine. In doing so, our definition of a pre-health student does not create the student's experience, as much as the experiences of the individual student will fashion their own definition of a pre-health student.
