Ivan Welty's professional interests include early analytic philosophy; the philosophies of language, logic, and math; Augustine; and, more recently, classical Chinese philosophy. He suspects that he'll remain interested in these subjects for some time, but still thanks his lucky stars that the list can change with no harm to his salary. He enjoys teaching despite his obvious and embarrassing limitations, and hopes that the future will judge his philosophical efforts kindly, although that's really no business of his. If he had it to do all over again, he'd choose door number 3.
