THIS PROGRAM IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE 2008-2009 STUDY ABROAD CYCLE.
Because this is an exchange program, there must be equal numbers of students coming from Aberystwyth as W.U. is sending. They are unable to send any students at this time and, therefore, we cannot send any in the upcoming year. Do not list Aberystwyth as a preference on your 2008-2009 Study Abroad Application.
Please contact the Study Abroad Advisor for possible alternatives.
Located on the West coast of Wales, Aberystwyth is a popular tourist destination as well as an important governmental city. Aberystwyth University has about 7,000 students and 18 academic departments.
While at Aberystwyth University, students may choose from a large variety of courses. The university welcomes students from all over Wales and more than 90 other countries. All majors recommended. More academic and course information.
Students will live in either single or double occupancy rooms on Aberystwyths campus. Kitchens and living spaces are shared with other international and U.K. students.
The Aberystwyth program is available during either fall or spring semesters. The fall semester begins mid September and concludes in January; spring semester begins in January and concludes in June.
Finals for the fall semester are in the third week of January. Students must make arrangements with their professors when they arrive at Aberystwyth to take the finals early or after they are back in the U.S. Students must return to the U.S. for the beginning of the spring semester at Willamette. Professors are not obligated to allow changes to the finals schedule or location.
Willamette tuition plus a fee equivalent to Willamettes Room and Board Plan B, which includes room and board.
