Living and Learning in Portland

Often referred to as PDX, Portland is a major city with small town charm. Known for its sustainability, start-up culture, and arts scene, Portland is also proud of its “weird” status. There’s so many quirky and one-of-a-kind places and events that make visiting and living here incredibly enjoyable.

Learning here is also exciting. One of the West Coast’s biggest business centers, Portland offers art, design and business students access to internships, jobs and professional networks.

Exploring Portland

From the downtown city skyline to serene parks and from famous bookstores and doughnut shops, there’s so much to see and do.

  • Neighborhoods

Divided into six “quadrants,” Portland is home to about 90 distinct neighborhoods. Our programs are based in the Pearl District.

  • Nightlife

Music fans and foodies will delight in all that Portland has to offer. Restaurants, lounges, clubs, theaters, and music venues of all kinds dot our streets.

  • Outdoor Adventures

Urban exploring in Portland also means uncovering parks, gardens and trails. A short drive away, you’ll find sprawling forests, stunning waterfalls, and snowcapped peaks.

  • Art Scene

PNCA is the front porch of Portland’s art scene. Across the city you’ll find public art installations, galleries, street performers, bookshops, maker markets and more.
